Intensive therapy compresses months of steady, incremental work into two focused days, giving you (or your child) the uninterrupted time it takes to actually process what's been stuck, not just talk about it.
Weekly therapy is built around a 50-minute hour, which is often just enough time to open something before it's time to stop. That start-stop rhythm can slow the work down for months. An intensive removes the clock. Two full days of focused time make room to move all the way through what's been circling, without losing momentum, waiting a week between sessions.
For adults ready to process a specific trauma, pattern, or event more deeply and more quickly than weekly sessions allow. Using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we work through what's kept you stuck in a contained, extended format built for that purpose.
Best for:
For children and the families supporting them. This track integrates three approaches: Adlerian Play Therapy, which helps your child build confidence and a sense of capability through play; Theraplay, which strengthens the connection between you and your child through structured, playful, attachment-focused activities; and EMDR adapted for children, to help process specific distressing events at the root of what you're seeing at home.
Best for:
An intake session, 30 to 60 minutes, to talk through your (or your child's) history and goals, and confirm that an intensive is the right fit.

A follow-up session in the weeks after, to check in and reinforce the work.

Intensives aren't the right format for everyone. If you're in an active crisis, need ongoing weekly stabilization first, or are looking for a quick fix rather than committed processing work, weekly therapy, or a combination of weekly and intensive work may serve you better. Part of the consult call is making sure this is the right tool for where you are right now.
No. Intensives are self-pay only and are not billed to insurance.
Ages 3 to 17.
Either. Some clients use an intensive as a stand-alone reset, others use it alongside weekly work to move through something specific faster.
Sessions are paced, and time is built in for grounding and stabilization. You're never pushed faster than your system can integrate.
Yes. A single-day intensive (two 3-hour sessions, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 to 4:00 pm) is available for $2,000.
